On a quiet street in Verona, NJ sits this house which was used as the house where Tony's mother lived. Most shots of this house included a fence that HBO crews added for each shoot. Out of respect for the house's owner I won't disclose the location, so please don't E mail us asking! |

| Out of all the E mail I receive, the most asked question is "where is the Soprano house?" I could just imagine the curiosity seekers that would show up if I was to publish the exact location. The house is in North Caldwell, NJ and is owned by someone in the construction business. In one episode when a letter is being read, you can read the address "633 Stag Trail Road., North Caldwell, New Jersey 07006" I'll save you the trouble, that's not where the house is! Early in season #1 a local newspaper ran a story on the house and happened to mention the owners name. On a wim I used an on line telephone search and discovered the address. |

I recently received an e-mail from someone who happens to know the owners of this house and was lucky enough to have received an invitation to visit the house while filming was taking place. She comments: "It was strange walking into the house for the first time, because I felt like I'd been there a million times, almost like I lived there. There we were in the kitchen, sitting at the counter, drinking coffee, and it was so very familiar. I mean, I knew where everything was. The owners of the house told us all about when they shot
the pilot there in 1997 and pointed out all the small details
where the set was slightly different than the actual house: counter-top

Remember the scene when Tony confronts Dr. Melfi in the opening episode of the second season? This was shot at the now extinct Clairmont Diner in Clifton, NJ. At the time of the filming the diner was already closed and shortly thereafter it was torn down to make way for a car dealership. HBO also uses this shot with Tony standing in front on one of the Soprano spots. |

Remember in episode two when the truck heist went wrong and Brendan wound up killing the driver? It was shot on Cape May Street in Harrison, not far from Harrison High School where HBO recently had a casting call. Thousands showed up and the event was canceled. |
