The Sopranos "On Location"

Season Two - "Funhouse"-The Final Episode

HBO crews performed some movie magic here on the 2nd level of the Meadowlands Race Track in E. Rutherford, NJ. In just a few hours this small area of floor space became a departure area of an airport. A few temporary walls converted the left portion of the photo into the wall of the waiting area, the "glass block" wall became the security office, and the doorway which is actually an elevator was seen as the departure ramp door.
This angle which was also used gives us a glimpse of the exterior glass wall of the race track.

Just as the security agents are walking up to Livia to arrest her, we see a blimpse of the hanging banners seen in this photo. Given the attention to prop details, I assume these were intentionally left hanging.

My thanks to "Bear" for providing me the background information and assisting me in obtaining these photos.

I recently received these rare photos of the late Nancy Marchand who played Tony's mother, Livia Soprano. These photos were taken at The Meadowlands in East Rutherford, NJ while filming Funhouse, the season finale. One full day was spent filming this scene that lasted about three seconds. The guard walks up to Livia and her friend and asks, "Are you Livia Soprano?" Moments later she is arrested for attempting to use stolen airline tickets. My sincere thanks to "Bear" for sharing these photos!
